Veise deadbolt locks secure your front, back, garage and interior wood doors with a single, drop-in upgrade. The full range includes keypad deadbolts (PIN-code entry), fingerprint deadbolts (0.5-second biometric unlock), Wi-Fi smart deadbolts with app control, and traditional single-cylinder deadbolts for renters and budget builds.
Every Veise deadbolt fits standard U.S. wood doors with a 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" backset and a 1" or 1-1/8" cross-bore. Most models pair a 1" stainless-steel bolt with anti-pick and BHMA-style strength testing, so you keep mechanical security even when the electronics are running on AA batteries. Models with a keypad include anti-peep code entry (enter extra digits before or after your real PIN), auto-lock timers, and a one-touch lock button. Smart models add iOS/Android apps, scheduled access codes for guests, and (with the optional G1 or G2 Wi-Fi gateway) full remote lock/unlock and history logs.
Pack contents typically include the deadbolt assembly, mounting hardware, two physical backup keys (on keyed models), batteries, and a printed user guide. Need a handle or lever included? Choose a fingerprint handle set instead.
Veise deadbolts fit standard U.S. exterior and interior wood doors that are 1-3/8\" to 1-3/4\" thick, with a 2-3/8\" or 2-3/4\" backset and a 1\" or 1-1/8\" cross-bore. They are not designed for metal, fiberglass, sliding, or storm doors.
Do Veise deadbolts come with batteries and keys?
Yes. Electronic models include the AA batteries needed for setup, plus two mechanical backup keys on every keyed model. Smart models add an emergency micro-USB power port so you can boot the lock from a power bank if the batteries die.
Can I install a Veise deadbolt myself?
Yes - if your door already has a standard deadbolt cutout, installation takes 15 to 20 minutes with a Phillips screwdriver. There is no drilling required, and the box includes a step-by-step guide plus a programming card with your default codes.
What is the difference between a keypad deadbolt and a smart deadbolt?
A keypad deadbolt unlocks with a PIN code only. A smart deadbolt adds Bluetooth or built-in Wi-Fi, so you can also unlock with the Veise app, share temporary codes with guests, and (with a Wi-Fi gateway) lock or unlock from anywhere.
Are Veise deadbolts weatherproof?
Exterior-rated Veise deadbolts are tested to IP55 or IP65 (model-dependent) for dust and rain resistance, so they hold up to outdoor weather on a covered or semi-covered front door.
