Terms of Service
Before using our services, please carefully read the entire content of this Terms of Service agreement ("Agreement"). By using any part of our services, you agree to be bound by all the terms set forth below, including limitations of liability and legal disclaimers.
If you have any questions regarding any part of this Agreement, please contact Veise customer service before proceeding. If you do not agree to any of the terms, you must immediately stop using Veise's services. Your continued use will be considered as full acceptance of this Agreement, as well as any future modifications or supplements.
Veise reserves the right to modify this Agreement at any time without individual notification. Any updates will be posted in the App or on our official platform. Your continued use of the services after any such updates constitutes your agreement to the modified terms.
1. Account Registration
To access and use the Veise App, you are required to register and create an account ("Account"). You may do so either through our official website, mobile app, or via a third-party service such as Google or Apple.
By registering, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
- Maintain and promptly update your account data.
- Keep your login credentials confidential and not share your Account access with others.
- Accept full responsibility for all activities conducted under your Account.
If you suspect any unauthorized access or security breach, you must notify us immediately at support@iveise.com.
Note: Some features of the App may be limited based on your account type or device compatibility.
2. Eligibility
The Veise App and related services are intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. By creating an Account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
3. Software Updates
Veise may periodically release updates, patches, or enhancements to improve performance, functionality, or security. These updates may be applied automatically or require manual installation.
Unless accompanied by additional terms, these updates are governed by this Agreement. You may be required to install the latest version to continue using the App.
4. Third-Party Links and Devices
The App may include links to external websites or third-party services ("Linked Sites"). These are provided for your convenience only.
- Veise does not endorse or accept responsibility for the content, security, or policies of these Linked Sites.
- You may need to acquire third-party products or services—such as a Veise Smart Lock, compatible mobile device, internet service, or data connection—to use the App. You are responsible for any associated fees.
5. License to Use the App
Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, Veise grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:
- Download and install the App on your compatible mobile device, and
- Use the App solely for personal, non-commercial purposes related to managing and controlling Veise Smart Locks that you own or are authorized to access.
6. License Restrictions
Your license to use the Veise App is subject to the following restrictions. You agree not to:
- Bypass, disable, or tamper with any security features, technical limitations, or restrictions built into the App.
- Reverse engineer, disassemble, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the App, except as expressly allowed by applicable law.
- Copy, duplicate, or distribute the App or any part of it except as expressly permitted in Section 5.
- Rent, sell, sublicense, transfer, publish, or share the App or its functionality with any third party, including over a network or shared system.
- Modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the App or any portion of it.
- Remove or alter any copyrights, trademarks, or proprietary notices on the App.
- Use the App in high-risk environments, such as medical, emergency, military, or aerospace systems, where failure could result in injury, death, or significant damage.
- Use the App as a platform to develop or operate any external applications or services not authorized by Veise.
- Use the App in any unlawful way or for any purpose prohibited by this Agreement or applicable law.
Important Note: Recording audio or video via the App without the consent of all parties involved may be illegal in some jurisdictions. You are responsible for complying with all local laws.
7. Your Content
You are solely responsible for any data, images, videos, messages, or other content that you upload, transmit, or store via the Veise App ("Your Content").
You represent and warrant that:
- You own all rights to Your Content or have obtained proper authorization to use it.
- Your Content does not infringe, misappropriate, or violate the rights of any third party or breach any law.
Veise does not claim ownership of Your Content but may remove or restrict access to content that violates this Agreement or any applicable law. We reserve the right to cooperate with law enforcement in cases of abuse or violation.
8. Reservation of Rights
You acknowledge that:
- The App is licensed, not sold.
- This Agreement gives you no ownership over the App, its content, or intellectual property.
Veise retains all rights, title, and interest, including all copyrights, patents, trademarks, and proprietary rights related to the App and its services.
9. App Availability and Support
Veise does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the App or your Account.
We may temporarily restrict access for maintenance, system upgrades, or technical issues. We also reserve the right to:
- Modify or suspend the App or your Account at any time.
- Discontinue features without prior notice.
- Limit or remove your access if you violate any term in this Agreement.
Customer support is available but not guaranteed and may vary depending on your location or account type.
10. Termination
You may delete your Account and stop using the App at any time.
Veise reserves the right to suspend or terminate:
- Your Account,
- Your license to use the App,
- Or this entire Agreement,at any time and without notice, especially if you violate any terms herein.
Certain sections, including but not limited to Sections 6-8, and other legal obligations, will survive termination.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
Except for any limited warranty that may accompany a Veise smart lock product you have purchased, the Veise App and related services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Veise disclaims all express, implied, and statutory warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, title, quiet enjoyment, or system integration.
Veise makes no representations or warranties that the App or services:
- Will operate without interruption, be timely, secure, or error-free
- Will be accurate, complete, or reliable
- Will meet your requirements or expectations
- Will be free from viruses, malware, or other harmful components
- Will ensure absolute safety, security, or prevention of unauthorized access, injury, or property loss
12. Disclaimer of Certain Damages
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Veise shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to loss of data, privacy, revenue, profit, property (including buildings, wiring, devices, pets), or personal injury or death, arising from your use of the App, your account, or any services offered, regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, strict liability, etc.), even if Veise has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
13. Limitation of Liability and Exclusive Remedies
To the extent not excluded or disclaimed under Section 12 and permitted by applicable law, Veise's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms, your use of the App, your account, or the services shall not exceed the actual amount you paid for the first Veise smart lock connected to your account. This limitation is your sole and exclusive remedy.
14. Important Consumer Notice
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on certain liabilities, such as those related to intentional misconduct, product liability, personal injury, or death. In such jurisdictions, some disclaimers and limitations in Sections 11 through 13 may not apply to you. However, they will apply to the maximum extent permitted by local law.
15. Independent Remedies
The limitations of liability and warranty disclaimers stated herein are fundamental elements of this agreement. They survive any failure of the essential purpose of any remedy. These limitations apply regardless of the cause of action—whether in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or otherwise—and even if a remedy fails its essential purpose.
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Veise and its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, licensors, and suppliers from any claims, demands, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising from:
- Your use or misuse of the App
- Your content or any activity under your account
- Your violation of these Terms or any applicable law
- Any infringement by you of any intellectual property or privacy rights of any third party
Veise reserves the right to assume exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you.
17. Notices
Veise may deliver any notices to you by posting them in the App, sending them to your registered email, or through other lawful communication channels. You may send any required legal notices to us at support@iveise.com.
18. Modifications to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or other appropriate means. Your continued use of the App after such changes indicates your acceptance. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must discontinue using the App and close your account.
19. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which you reside, unless otherwise required by applicable law. You and Veise agree that any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in your jurisdiction, provided that nothing in these Terms limits your rights as a consumer to bring a claim in the courts of your place of habitual residence or under any mandatory local laws that apply to you.
The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods shall not apply to these Terms or to any transactions conducted under them.
20. General Provisions
If any provision of these Terms is held to be illegal, invalid, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Section titles in these Terms are provided for convenience only and shall not affect the interpretation of any provision. Any examples provided (e.g., or including) are illustrative and not limiting unless expressly stated otherwise.
Veise may assign or transfer these Terms, in whole or in part, without notice to you. You may not assign, transfer, or sublicense any of your rights or obligations under these Terms without Veise's prior written consent.
A failure by Veise to enforce any part of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of its rights with respect to the same or any subsequent breach. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative of Veise.
These Terms, along with any other applicable policies or terms incorporated herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Veise concerning the App and your use of Veise products and services. You acknowledge that you have not relied on any statement, promise, or representation that is not expressly set out in these Terms.
Except as expressly provided herein, no third party shall have any rights under these Terms. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
